Local officials in Laghman said that 16 Taliban insurgents were either killed or injured in a roadside mine explosion in Alingyar district. Sarhadi Zowak, provincial governor spokesman, told Killid that seven Taliban insurgents were killed and nine injured in the blast. He added that the incident happened in Aligul area of the district. He further stated that Taliban shadow district governor for Badpakh district was among those injured. Taliban militants are yet to comment on the incident.
