The Ministry of Defence (MoD) yesterday rejected the Pakistan foreign minister’s remarks regarding Afghan security forces, saying “the entire world has recognised Pakistan as a state sponsoring terrorism.” Dowlat Waziri, MoD spokesman, said that Pakistan Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif during his ongoing trip to Washington has alleged that ammunition and weapons of Afghan security forces are being sold to armed anti-government groups and this has resulted in the continuation of war in Afghanistan. Waziri added that these claims are all baseless and far from reality. Waziri further stated that that the international community had recognised Pakistan as a state supporting terrorism and changed relations with Islamabad. Waziri alleged Pakistan played a key role in training, equipping and supporting terrorists who carried out attacks in neighbouring countries.
