Taliban coordinated attack on Bala Blook district of Farah was met with fierce resistance by Afghan security forces. Nasir Mehre, spokesman for Farah governor, told Killid that Taliban militants converged on police check posts in Kansak area of the district last night and clashed with Afghan security forces for five consecutive hours. He added that 27 Taliban insurgents were killed and a number of weapons of Taliban were also seized. Mehre further stated that five policemen were killed and two others were injured during the clashes .Meanwhile Taliban claimed that nine policemen were killed and three were taken away by the group.
