At least 50 Taliban insurgents were killed in Afghan security forces’ operations over the past 24 hours. A press release from Ministry of Defence (MoD) stated that 51 Taliban insurgents including one Daesh militant were killed and 25 injured. The statement added that Taliban sustained heavy casualties in Laghman, Kunduz, Nangarhar and Zabul provinces. The statement further stated that over the past 24 hours 18 clearing operations, 13 special operations, and 93 air strikes were conducted in 16 provinces. Daesh and Taliban militants are yet to comment on the statement.
