Clearing Operation Launched in Laghman’s Alisheng

Security officials said that a military operation codenamed ‘Selab1/8’ has been launched in Alisheng district of Laghman province. Brigadier Sheren Aqa Faqiri, spokesman for Selab 201 Corps, told Killid that the joint operation was launched yesterday. He added that 15 insurgents have so far been killed and nine injured. He further stated that some insurgents were arrested and a number of villages were cleared of militants. Armed opposition groups are yet to comment.
