Security officials in Nangarhar said that two Taliban insurgents were killed in clashes with Afghan security forces in Hesarak district. Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal, spokesman for Nangarhar police, told Killid that Taliban launched coordinated attack on a number of Afghan police check posts in the district late yesterday. He added that Afghan security forces resisted and repulsed insurgents’ attack. He further stated that there were no civilian or military casualties. Taliban militants are yet to comment on the incident.
