Security officials in Paktia said that nine Taliban insurgents were killed and four injured in joint air operations conducted by Afghan and foreign forces in Sayed Karam district of the province. Sardar Wali Tabasm, spokesman for Paktia police, told Killid that the operations were conducted yesterday evening in which a number of Taliban weapons and ammunition were destroyed. Meanwhile a resident of the area speaking on the condition of anonymity said that one civilian was killed and other was injured during the operations. Taliban militants are yet to comment on the strikes.
