Officials of Ansar 606 Military Zone in Farah said that 42 Taliban insurgents were killed and 41 injured in clearing operations launched by Afghan security forces. A press release from Ansar 606 Military Zone stated that the operation codenamed ‘Zafar 44’ was launched a week ago in Balablok district ended yesterday. The statement added that seven Taliban insurgents were arrested and Afghan security forces seized some weapons of insurgents. The statement further stated that a number of villages in the district were totally cleared of insurgents.
