Local officials in Ghazni said that five Afghan Local Police members (ALP) were killed and eight injured in Qarabagh district. Mohammad Aref Noori, spokesman for Ghazni police, told Killid that tens of Taliban insurgents were also killed. He added that Taliban insurgents launched coordinated attacks on police check posts last night. Noori further stated that Taliban sustained heavy casualties but the figure is yet to be known. Noori said that seven villages have so far been cleared of insurgents in the provincial capital and a number of districts since Friday.
