Security officials in Kandahar said that 35 Taliban insurgents including four prominent commanders were killed in an airstrike conducted by Afghan security forces in Shah Walikot district.

Security officials in Kandahar said that 35 Taliban insurgents including four prominent commanders were killed in an airstrike conducted by Afghan security forces in Shah Walikot district. Zia Durrani, spokesman for Kandahar police, said that Afghan security forces targeted a Taliban hideout in Zangala area of the district yesterday. Durrani added that a large cache of arms and ammunition of Taliban was also destroyed. Taliban militants are yet to comment on the strike.
