Taliban Rejects Maulana Samiul Haq’s Claims

Afghan Taliban rejected claims of Maulana Samiul Haq, known as ‘Father of Taliban’, chief of his own faction of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam, that Taliban will support Pakistan against any kind of foreign aggression. Maulana Samiul Haq recently said the Taliban has pledged to stand by the government of Pakistan in case of any aggressive design pursued by the United States against the country. Maulana Samiul Haq said that different groups of Afghan Taliban after holding consultations sent a written statement to him, extending full support to Pakistan in case of an attack by the US or any other country. Meanwhile Zabiullah Mujahid, a so-called Taliban spokesman, told media that Samiul Haq’s claims are baseless and incorrect and the group will never support Pakistan.
