Local officials in Nuristan said that 35 Taliban insurgents were killed and nine injured in clashes with Afghan security forces in Barg-e-Matal district yesterday. Dozens of Taliban insurgents attacked Barg-e-Matal district yesterday and clashed with security forces. Brigadier Shrin Aqa Faqiri, spokesman for Selab 201 Corps, said that the clashes has ended and the situation has returned to normal. Taliban militants are yet to comment on the incident.
