8 Taliban Insurgents Killed, 7 Injured in Helmand

Local officials in Helmand said that five Taliban insurgents were killed and three injured in air strikes conducted by Afghan security forces in Sangen, Naher Saraj, Garmser, and Washeran districts over the past 24 hours. A press release from Helmand governor’s office stated that in a separate incident three Taliban insurgents were killed and four injured while planting a roadside mine in Yakhchal area of Naher Saraj district. Taliban militants are yet to comment on both incidents.
