Local officials in Maidan Wardak province said that three Taliban insurgents including Maulavi Farid, a prominent commander, were killed and four injured in an air operation conducted by Afghan security forces. Naqib Amini, spokesman for Maidan Wardak police, told Killid that they were killed or injure while they were planning to conduct insurgency activities in the province. Amini added that the operation was conducted in Nerkh district. Taliban militants are yet to comment on the air strike.
