At least 316 people were reported injured and one killed in different incidents including car accidents on Eid al-Adha holidays in Herat. Mohammad Rafiq Sherzai, spokesman for Herat Zonal Hospital, told Killid that 237 traffic injuries, 39 beaten up, 29 stabbed, and 11 gunshot and one dead body were registered in the hospital. Sherzai added that 60 percent of them have been hospitalised, few of whom are in critical condition. Over speeding and violation of traffic rules are often cited behind traffic accidents in the country.
