Local officials in Nangarhar said that two suicide attackers wanted to break into the house of Zahir Qadir, Parliament Member (MP) around 10:30 am today. A press release from Nangarhar governor’s office stated that one of the attackers was shot dead while the other detonated his explosives outside Qadir’s house. The statement added that two bodyguards of Qadir were killed in the attack. No group has claimed responsibility.
