Qari Ehsan, a prominent Taleban commander, and two other Taleban insurgents were killed in operations conducted by Afghan security forces in Logar province. Abdul Salim Saleh, spokesman for Logar governor, said clearing operations were conducted over the past few days. Eight Taleban were injured. Saleh added that Afghan security forces seized ammunition and weapons of Taleban. Taleban militants are yet to comment on the statement.
