Pakistan Army Chief Gen. Javed Qamar Bajwa said that Afghanistan is a brother country and terrorists are a common enemy of the two countries. Bajwa expressed this view during a meeting with a nine-member Afghan media delegation. Bajwa called for a trust-based coordinated response against terrorism instead of a blame game. According to a statement from the Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR), Bajwa added media could play a vital role in mitigating the negativity created by inimical forces. He emphasised the need for effective management of the border between the two countries. Pakistan, he said, has taken effective measures on its side of the border including fencing and establishment of new border checkposts.
