Afghan President Ashraf Ghani urged Pakistan to take practical steps for the implementation of the London agreement between the two countries. Ghani met Pakistan Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua yesterday evening at ARG (Presidential Palace). An ARG press release stated that Ghani asked Janjua to share Afghanistan’s concerns with her country’s new leadership. The statement added that Ghani, while referring to terrorism said, “There should be no distinction between good or bad terrorism because terrorism is a serious and common threat to people of both the countries.” The statement further stated that Janjua for her part said Pakistan was also concerned about the region’s security situation and said she would share Afghanistan’s concerns with the new Pakistani leadership.
