Officials of Shaheen 209 Military Corps said that Zabiullah Mujahid, a so-called Taleban spokesman, was seriously injured in Clashes with Afghan security forces in Ghormach district of Faryab. A press release from Shaheen 209 Military Corps stated that Taleban insurgents suffered heavy casualties in operations conducted by Afghan security forces to retake the district. Nasrullah Jamshid, spokesman for Shaheen 209 Military Corps, told Killid that Zabiullah Mujahid was seriously injured during the clashes. Taleban militants are yet to comment on the statement.
