President Ashraf Ghani reviewed security situation of Faryab, Sar-e-Pul, Jawzjan and Balkh provinces in a meeting held in ARG (Presidential Palate) late yesterday. A press release from ARG stated that security institutions were instructed to improve the situation in the provinces. The statement added that security situation of Mirza Olang village of Sar-e-Pul province was also reviewed and security institutions were instructed to crush Daesh and Taleban insurgents. The statement further stated that Ghani instructed security and defence institutions to crack down on Daesh militants in northern provinces.
