Saudi Envoy: We Have Evidence Qatar Supports Taleban

Charge de affairs of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Kabul said the kingdom’s official stance was that the Taleban are armed opponents of Afghanistan. Mishari Al-Harbi, charge de affairs, accused Qatar of supporting “some” terrorist organisations, including the Afghan Taleban. The Saudi envoy strongly opposed the presence of an office for the Taleban in Qatar and said it was a source through which the Taleban established contacts with external elements and received assistance. Earlier, Al-Harbi told the BBC that the Taleban political office in Qatar was working beyond its political parametres.
