Taleban insurgents suffered casualties in an operation conducted by Police Special Unit in Badghis province. A press release from Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoI) stated that general command of Police Special Unit launched a special operation in Langar area of Qads district. The statement added that seven Taleban insurgents were killed and 11 injured. In the meantime, General Command of Police Special Units and Afghan National Army carried out a joint operation in Mahtarlam city, provincial capital of Laghman. A senior member of the armed Taleban was arrested during the operation.Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) have stepped up Counter-Terrorism operations to suppress the insurgency activities of the terrorist groups.
