US National Security Advisor Gen. HR McMaster said that Pakistan must change its paradoxical policy of supporting Taleban insurgents in Afghanistan. McMaster said in a radio interview on Saturday, “There’s a tremendously successful campaign going on with Afghan forces in the lead.” “This is Pakistan in particular that we want to reduce its support for these groups. Pakistan is taking great losses. They have fought very hard against these groups, but they’ve done so really only selectively,” McMaster commented. He added that US President Donald Trump did not approve of his predecessor’s strategy of announcing US deaths in Afghanistan and the deadlines for sending in or pulling out American troops.
