Local officials in Nangarhar said that at least 10 Taleban insurgents were either killed or injured in clashes with Afghan security forces in Momand Dara district last night. Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal, spokesman for Nangarhar police, told Killid that Taleban insurgents attacked on police checkpoints in Darya area of the district. Mashriqiwal added that four Taleban insurgents were killed and six others including a commander were injured. He further stated that there were no civilian casualties. Taleban militants are yet to comment on the incident.
