Two ANCOP Members Shot Dead by Foreign Troops

Two Afghan National Civil Order Police members (ANCOP) were killed in clashes with foreign troops. Local officials in Kandahar said that the incident happened today around 12 pm near Kandahar Airfield. Mubarez, spokesman for second brigade of ANCOP, said that the clashes started when foreign troops wanted to enter inside the brigade. The motive behind the incident is yet to be known. Meanwhile NATO-led Resolute Support Mission (RSM) in a statement said that two ANCOP members tried to conduct an insider attack near Kandahar Airfield. The statement added that one of the attackers was killed and the other injured. The statement further stated that ANCOP member was wounded in the crossfire and is being treated at an Afghan medical facility.
