Local officials in Kandahar said that 106 war-displaced families were given aid in Khakrez district. Massoud Pashton, provincial director of Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA), said that the aid included nine types of foodstuff. He added that 106 families identified through a survey were given the food items. It is reported that recent insecurity and clashes in a number of districts of Kandahar have rendered hundreds of families homeless.
