Ministry of Defence (MoD) said that at least 63 Taleban insurgents including four commanders were killed and 29 injured over the past 24 hours in joint military operations conducted by Afghan security forces. A press release from MoD stated that the operations were conducted in Nanagarhar, Kapisa, Paktika, Paktia, Maidan Wardak, Khost, Logar, Ghazni, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Zabul, Badghis, Faryab, Baghlan, Badakhshan, Kunduz, and Helmand provinces. The statement added that 13 Taleban insurgents were killed 15 injured in Zabul, 15 were killed in Paktika. Taleban militants are yet to comment on the statement.
