President Ashraf Ghani met with Acting Iraqi Ambassador to Afghanistan Farzadq Zuhairalghay yesterday evening. A press release from ARG (Presidential Palace) stated that Iraqi ambassador praised the effective measures and bravery of the Afghan security force in eliminating the assailants who attacked the embassy on Monday. The statement added that Ghani slammed terrorism as a threat to mankind, particularly to Afghanistan and Iraq, and said that cooperation between the two countries is necessary in the fight against terrorism. On Monday, the Iraq embassy in Kabul came under a five hour attack, which involved several armed men who killed two Afghan civilian employees and injured a police officer before being killed.
