Local officials in Kunar said that seven Daesh militants were killed in a drone strike in Watapor district. Provincial Police Chief Jumma Gul Himmat said that the NATO-operated drone targeted a Daesh hideout in mountainous Talona area of Watapor district at around 11am today morning. At least seven Daesh or self-styled Islamic State (IS) militants were killed in the drone strike, he added. He further stated that there were no civilian casualties.
