Polio Immunisation Campaign Begins in Bamyan

Polio immunisation campaign has begun in Bamyan and will continue for five days in eight districts of the province. A press release from Bamyan governor’s office stated that the campaign will be implemented by 37 moderators, 162 supervisors, and 1586 volunteers. The statement added that the five-day campaign will immunise children less than five years old in the cold provinces. Afghanistan, Pakistan and Nigeria are the only countries where polio is still prevalent.
