Junbish-e-Milli party, led by First Vice President Abdul Rashid Dostum, announced that reports of Dostum’s return to the country and diversion of his plane to land in Mazar-e-Sharif airport in Balkh province is false and baseless. A press release from the party stated that Dostum is still in Ankara, Turkey, and no decision has been taken regarding his return in the near future. Earlier media reported that the plane of Dostum was diverted from landing in Mazar-e-Sharif airport where Ata Mohammad Noor, governor of Balkh, was waiting to receive him.
