Some 80 Taleban, Daesh Militants Killed in Afghan Operations

Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced that some 80 Taleban and Daesh militants were killed in Afghan security forces’ offensive operations over the past 24 hours.

Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced that some 80 Taleban and Daesh militants were killed in Afghan security forces’ offensive operations over the past 24 hours. A press release from MoD stated that the operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Kunar, Nuristan, Kapisa, Paktika, Khost, Logar, Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Kunduz, Faryab, Takhar, and Helmand provinces to crack down on armed anti-government groups. The statement added that 77 Taleban and Daesh militants were killed and 27 injured. The statement further stated that seven Daesh militants were also arrested. According to MoD, a number of weapons and ammunition of insurgents were also destroyed.
