Security officials in Ghani reported that a gang of three smugglers trafficking 13 children to Pakistan for terrorist activities were arrested in the province. This is the second case of child trafficking to Pakistan that the Ghazni police have foiled. Gulam Mustafa Mayar, acting chief of Ghazni police, addressing a press conference late yesterday stated that the children were brought from Paktika to the province and the group wanted to smuggle them to Pakistan on the pretext of teaching them religious studies. Mayar added that the parents of the children were not aware of the incident. Last week a gang of four smugglers trafficking 25 children to Pakistan was arrested in the province.
