President Ashraf Ghani reviewed security situation of disturbed northern provinces in a meeting held in ARG (Presidential Palace) late yesterday. A press release from ARG stated that the security situation of Baghlan, Jawzjan, Herat, and Kunduz were reviewed and security institutions were instructed to improve the situation in the provinces. The statement added that security institutions were also praised for good management of Monday’s demonstration in Kabul city. The statement further stated that Ghani instructed security and defence institutions to crack down on Daesh militants in northern provinces.
