Security officials in Kunduz reported that at least 17 Taleban insurgents were either killed or injured in Chardara district of the province. Gholam Hazrat Karimi, spokesman for Pamir 20 Division, said that nine Taleban insurgents were killed and eight injured in ‘Pamir1’ and ‘Pamir 2’ operations over the past 24 hours. He added that Omar Khail and Madrasa villages of Chardara were cleared of insurgents. Taleban militants are yet to comment on the incident.
