At least 12 Taleban commanders along with 43 fighters were killed in Afghan National Defence and Security Forces’ operations in Nawa and Marja districts of Helmand.

12 Taleban Commanders among 43 Killed in Helmand

At least 12 Taleban commanders along with 43 fighters were killed in Afghan National Defence and Security Forces’ operations in Nawa and Marja districts of Helmand. Security officials in Helmand announced that they have launched a military operation to retake Nawa district. The operation is being supported by NATO-led Resolute Support Mission (RSM) as well. Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoI) announced that Taleban have suffered heavy casualties over the past 24 hours. Taleban militants are yet to comment on the statement.
