Taleban Block Baghlan-Kunduz Highway

Local officials in Kunduz said that Baghlan-Kunduz highway was closed to traffic as the Taleban clashes with security forces intensified. Hayatullah Faqiri, district governor of Ali Abad, said that Taleban attacked police checkpoints on the highway earlier this morning. He added that Taleban have created checkpoints on the highway. He further stated that heavy clashes are still ongoing in the area. Taleban launched a coordinated attack on Sunday on key areas on the outskirts of Kunduz city.
