Taleban insurgents attacked two police checkpoints in Farah province last night. Iqbal Baher, spokesman for Farah police, confirmed the incident and told Killid that Taleban militants attacked police checkpoints in Karez Shekhan area of Posht district last night. He added that six policemen were killed and five Taleban insurgents were killed, nine injured. He further stated that the situation is under control now and insurgents have fled the area. Farah is among the relatively disturbed province where Taleban militants are actively operating in parts of the province.
