Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said that for the first time China wants to play a mediator role to promote peace and reconciliation between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Ghani added that Chinese foreign minister will soon visit Afghanistan for that purpose. Ghani met with a number of women’ rights activists in ARG (presidential palace) yesterday. A press release from ARG stated that peace with Pakistan was the demands of the activists and they urged ARG to resolve the issue state to state. It was reported that Ghani compared last week’s bloody attacks of Kabul to US September 11 attacks, also called 9/ attacks.
