Security officials in Helmand said that Abdul Rawof, Garmser district police chief, was injured in an explosion yesterday evening. Abdul Salam Afghan, spokesman for Helmand police, said that two body guards of Rawof were also injured in the incident. Afghan added that Abdul Rawof was on his way to Garmser district when his vehicle was hit by a roadside mine in Sarband area. Afghan further stated that no civilian or military officials were killed. Taleban have not claimed responsibility yet.
