Ghani Promises to Bring Reforms in Security Sectors

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in response to yesterday’s suicide bombing at the funeral of Senator Alam Ezadyar’s son promised to bring reforms in security sectors. He added that action will be taken against those officials who have been negligent in their duties. He further stated that the perpetrators of the recent terrorist attacks in Kabul are savages who are trying to create division and distrust among people. Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah, who survived the bombing, said that security officials should state what they are doing; the Kabul Garrison officials must respond to public concerns about what they are doing to ensure security.
