Taleban Attack Repulsed in Ghazni

Security officials in Ghazni province said that Taleban offensive attack on Waghaz, Zana Khan, Dehyak districts was repulsed by security forces. General Aminullah Amarkhail, chief of Ghani police, said that Taleban converged on the districts last night, and was met with fierce resistance by security forces. He added that 15 Taleban insurgents and three Afghan policemen were killed. He reiterated that Taleban militants wanted to crash the districts but was met with harsh response from Afghan security forces. Meanwhile members of provincial council of Ghani and residents claim that the clash is still on going in the districts. Ghazni is a disturbed province where Taleban are actively operating in a number of its districts.
