Coordinated Attack on RTA Station Ends in Nangarhar

The attack on RTA (Radio Television of Afghanistan) ended after about six hours of heavy gun fighting. Ataullah Khogyani, spokesman for Nangarhar governor, said that there had been three attackers who stormed the station and all of them were gunned down by the security forces. Khogyani added that two policemen and one employee of the RTA were killed and at least 11 injured. Meanwhile Asadullah Dawlatzai, Killid reporter from the area, said that Afghan security forces are now conducting a clearing operation in the immediate area. No group has claimed responsibility.
