Hizb-e-Islami announced that some Taleban circles have contacted the party to join the peace process. Qariburahman Sayeed, a spokesman for Hizb-e-Islami, said that the Taleban who had opted to join peace process were inside and outside the country. Sayeed added that they are willing to cooperate in reconciling Taleban and will take responsibility for that. He further stated that some Taleban groups have realised that war is not a solution to solve the conflict in Afghanistan. Earlier Taleban political office in Qatar had contacted Hizb-e-Islami and had discussed joining the peace process.
