At least more than 100 Taleban insurgents were killed or injured during clearance operations to open Kunduz-Khan Abad highway. Asadullah Amarkhail, governor of Kunduz, said that the highway has been opened to public and the operations will continue for a month to crack down on Taleban until they are totally wiped out of the areas. He added that at least 50 Taleban insurgents were killed and over 49 others were injured. He assured people that Taleban are no longer able to recapture the city again. He further stated that all the areas across the province will soon be cleared of the Taleban insurgents. Kunduz city has fallen to the Taleban two times in the past two years.
