At least seven children were either killed or injured in a rocket attack in Gozar area of Mehtarlam, provincial capital of Laghman today. Sarhadi Zowak, spokesman for Laghman governor, said that Taleban insurgents fired a mortar round which hit a residential house in the area, killing at least five children and injuring two others. Zowak added that the injured were transferred to the nearby hospital and they were in stable condition. Taleban militants have not commented on the incident yet.
