Presidential Palace (ARG) confirmed that Abdul Hasib, head of ISIS-K, was killed in Nangarhar. A press release from ARG stated that he was killed in an operation conducted by Afghan Special Forces in eastern parts of the province. The statement added that he was responsible for ordering the attack on Dawood Khan Military Hospital in Kabul, kidnapping girls, and beheading elders in front of their families. The statement further stated that the National Unity Government (NUG) has strong commitment to annihilate terrorist groups in Afghanistan and provide peaceful environment for Afghans. Daesh (ISIS) militants have not commented on the statement yet.
