At least 40 Daesh militants were killed or injured in drone strikes by foreign troops in Achin district. Ataullah Khogyani, spokesman for Nangarhar governor, said that drones bombarded Daesh hideouts in Pekhai, and Mandara areas of Achin today in which 27 Daesh militants were killed and 13 others were injured. He further stated that the operations conducted against Daesh militants are going on successfully. There were no immediate reports of civilian casualties. Daesh militants are yet to comment on the incident.
