At least five members of Haqqani Network were arrested in Logar province today. A press release from National Directorate of Security (NDS) stated that two members of Haqqani Network were killed and five others were arrested in NDS’ special operation conducted in parts of the province. The statement added that the men were assigned by Jalil Moqadas, a prominent Haqqani Network commander, to launch attacks on parts of the province. The statement identified the men as Gul Rahman, Bator, Elyas, Anar Gul, and Tela Mohammad. The statement further stated that 30 boxes of bullet, 16 cannon rounds, six mortar rounds, 16 rockets, a pistol and several documents were confiscated from the men.
